After 15 months of breastfeeding I'm looking forward to returning to normal bra's for a spell. I don't really care if they are pretty or not. I'm looking for good shape and support. What would you recommend? I think I will have to purchase it online too as I don't get out much!

Freya are my favourites (32E) i won't buy anything else now. Figleaves.co.uk stock them and also debenhams i think...

Trumpton · 27/01/2012 22:39

34F here and wearing Freya. Not particulary pretty but great support and a good shape.

CountessOlenska · 27/01/2012 22:45

Wacoal. I wear them with a vintage insouciance (I like to think) rather than Granny chic.

ggirl · 27/01/2012 22:47

FF cups here and I wear Fantasie Helena bras

BelleDameSansMerci · 27/01/2012 22:48

Freya are very good.

I think it depends on your shape tbh. I'm 34DD too and find M&S pretty good and comfortable.

sillymillyb · 27/01/2012 22:49

ff cup here with another vote for freya or fantisie.

Stay away from marks and sparks.... bravissimo are fab for fitting on the other hand :)

ChablisLover · 27/01/2012 22:52

Triumph - hands down every time. Super soft every day t shirt bra is the bees knees

Wouldn't even know you are wearing it. It is so comfy. Tried another one (m&s) during the week and I just hauled and pulled at it. So uncomfy.

daenerysstormborn · 27/01/2012 22:52

i veer between a 34d and 32dd, most comfy bras i have are by triumph. i used to buy all my underwear from supermarkets Blush, but gave up the day i was hanging the washing out on the line and by the end, my bra was nowhere near my boobs. best thing i ever did was migrate to proper underwear!

Grumpla · 27/01/2012 22:53

Really worth the effort to go and get fitted at Bravissimo.

I love Freya bras, good shape and support and lots of nice bright patterns.

Tequilamockinbird · 27/01/2012 22:54

I'm a JJ cup and only ever wear Panache. Bravissimo is my friend Smile

Tequilamockinbird · 27/01/2012 22:54

Oh, and I agree about staying away from m&s!

cornsilxsxy · 27/01/2012 22:56

I'm 34DD - freya and fantasie I like

dundeemarmalade · 27/01/2012 23:06

Am 32ff when not bf and 34bleedingenormous when I am. I used to swear by Freya etc at bravissimo.then I got a prima Donna one from local posh bra shop. Was 3 times the price of bravissimo but 100 times better. Sell a child/kidney - your norks are worth it Grin

ggirl · 27/01/2012 23:54

dundeemarmalade-have looked at prima donna ones online but they don't do ff cup size did you go to a g cup then?
so many good reviews for them

dundeemarmalade · 29/01/2012 21:35

Yes I did. I also had a couple of lovely plain Chantelle ones for under t-shirts, which also had to be a G, but they've been in the loft for so long I can't remember Blush.
If you can get down to an actual bricks and mortar shop for a fitting it is def best as their back sizes are a bit different, and the cups fit differently in different styles too though you may need to remortgage if you go for anything other than the entry level styles. Makes me curse the skinny minnies who can buy pretty little bras in high street shops!

ggirl · 29/01/2012 21:38

thanks , will have a hunt for an independent shop near me that sells them

BikeRunSki · 29/01/2012 21:52

Porcelaine range by Panache.

MaryWiselyornotatall · 29/01/2012 22:00

Freya or Fantasie. Both the same company, but Freya rather younger styles. Both fit brilliantly.

suebfg · 29/01/2012 22:06

Another vote for Fantasie. Freya good too but I think Fantasie are a little more comfortable - Freya can be a little scratchy IMO

nobodysfool · 29/01/2012 22:06

Another vote for prima Donna here . I have had one of mine for 4 years and still lolls and feels like the day it was bought Smile

ouryve · 29/01/2012 22:08

I've some underwired Triumph bras which I love - wide straps but still pretty. For days when I don't want underwires, I wear Royce. Nowhere near as scary as the Triumph Doreen but comfortable and very supportive, sicne they specialise in non-wired bras.

BettyBathroom · 29/01/2012 22:08

Fantasie push up t shirt bra - definitely the big support knickers of the bra world - you'll look fabulous with clothes on!

moggiek · 29/01/2012 22:24

Triumph Amourette 300. Best fitted bra I've ever had - without the fancy price tag!

dottyaboutstripes · 29/01/2012 23:00

I can only wear Triumph. They seem to hide how dreadful my boobs are after 6 kids and huge weight changes over the years.

warmandwooly · 30/01/2012 08:18

Another vote for Fantasie. I am bloody addicted to the patterns etc and stalk Debenhams etc clerance rails. My local Debenhams have some Triumph's on sale at the month so reccomend going in there and also I have spotted some Triumphs in my local TK Maxx in bigger cup sizes so you could also try th
ere. Price wise in TK Maxx they have been less than eight quid and the designs have been nice too. But def the rec for Fantasie.
