When I saw your thread title, I thought "ooh so do I" but Shock at price.

cyb · 27/01/2012 20:28

Why isnt it called the Spanx strapless long leggedy leotard?

Or the Spanx boober tuber with legs

southeastastra · 27/01/2012 21:12

i don't get the picture either, on the telly it just came up to her bust, not over it Grin the price is ridiculous but most spanx stuff is isn't it?

Am I reading it right? Is the waist size of an XL pair a meagre 25 inches??? That can't be right surely?Hmm

southeastastra · 27/01/2012 21:27

the xl is meant for size 20-22 according to qvc, but they did look tiny but obviously stretch when you put them on , like a sausage machine i think Grin

cyb · 28/01/2012 09:13

No the Primark ones are uber thick, not cottony but very lycra-ish

southeastastra · 28/01/2012 12:16

ooh will try them then cyb!

Sposh · 28/01/2012 12:18

Wouldn't they squish your boobs to nothing?

MordechaiVanunu · 28/01/2012 12:35

I have spanx high waisted tights, that come up to under your under bust.

I love them. They are expensive but I bought 2 pairs last winter and have washed and worn them continuously through 2 winters and they've lasted really well, so I think I've had my moneys worth.

I wear dresses loads, and these give me a really smooth line with no bumps where tights end etc, and they're are really comfy and cozy. (not super tight control like the pants but more smoothing I'd say).

So, if you wear leggings loads and want to get rid of that top of the leggings bulge that can be seen under tunics, I'd say they're worth it. I bet they outlast the primark ones a few times over, if they're the same quality as the tights anyway.

Oh, and I presume they are only supposed to come up to under your bra??Confused.

The tights don't roll down, after two years of constant wear.

Yes Bran I know, seems ridiculous for tights, but if you wear dresses a lot you will get your monies worth.

I don't wear any other tights now, I just wash and wear the two pairs I have, they are seriously good.

Not sure.

We have a jumpy dog and they've survived her. They're pretty thick and none of mine have laddered or developed holes.

I'm so surprised more people haven't discovered them. I keep waiting for M and S to do a cheaper dupe, but the idea doesn't seem to be catching on, which is strange as I can't be the only girl in the world who wants to get rid of the above tights under bra bumps under dresses.

Bran, get one pair, I guarantee you'll end up getting another.

AnEcumenicalMatter · 29/01/2012 12:32

I paid 50 odd quid for a pair of Spanx high waisted thigh slimmers. That was about 4 or 5 years ago and I have had so much wear out of them that they worked out to be very cost effective. They are very comfortable, don't roll down and are still in great conditions after hundreds of wears and washes. Worth every penny, IMO so I'm tempted by the leggings.
