Oh have you looked at Wallis at all? They had some lovely wrap dresses when I last checked, some in prints and others in bold block colours.

I was particularly fond of a very Versace-esque blue and turquoise chain print wrap dress, although I think it might be a bit hit or miss.

disclaimer: I am well over 50, so maybe this would not appeal to you, but I have a few jersey wrap dresses from here because they fit well, wash well and are very comfey.

DukesOfTripHazard · 27/01/2012 13:16

The chain print dress is nice actually but is it long enough (96cms) It must be just below croissant knees.

Love that mock wrap littlefrogs but it's out of stock, sadly.

Is it?? Oh...I was going to order it for myself. Sad.

Have a look at some of the others. I buy most of my dresses from that company because they are just that little bit longer than average, and I like to hide my legs.

This is smart, as long as you don't suffer from migraine.........

motherinferior · 27/01/2012 13:23

MULTI-14&refpage=1115 This?

motherinferior · 27/01/2012 13:23

MULTI-14&refpage=1115 I meant this?

motherinferior · 27/01/2012 13:23

bugger

3littlefrogs · 27/01/2012 13:26

If you search Jersey Wrap on the 50plus site there are lots.

herbaceous · 27/01/2012 13:35

How did you not visit our old pal Chums? Here's a sea green midi dress, with sleeves, and it's thermal!

Teeb · 27/01/2012 13:41

I also just remembered about the Gok Wan dresses he did with Sainsbury's, have you seen them? I have a feeling they are all sold out in the shops now but I've seen them a couple of times on ebay.

It comes in Blue and red.

motherinferior · 27/01/2012 13:48

Bit racy, that, herbs Shock

DukesOfTripHazard · 27/01/2012 13:55

herbs I think the Chums dress might give me an unfair advantage over my other guests Grin

MI I looked at that feathers Hobbs dress that you alluded to. Nice but want something a bit more colourful and a lot more machine washable.

Frogs, I was a bit tempted by a vibrant pocketed Arlene Philips but is maybe too vibrant.

The houndstooth is a touch migrainous littlefrogs. But the monochrome animal print might come back in time (got til 11th Feb) so I might sling it in the basket. I'm a 12-14. Which should I order?

Teeb, I might swing by our big Sainsbos and see what's what with Gok.

Isabella Oliver?

Fenn Wright Mason?

Coast

Have just ordered this Max Mara dress

The Hobbs feather dress is lovely - I have it and wear it lots.

Rindercella · 27/01/2012 14:08

And dammit Herbs, I am going to have to add to my ever-increasing wardrobe with that dress. Grin

motherinferior · 27/01/2012 14:15

You slapper.

DukesOfTripHazard · 27/01/2012 14:51

Ta Rindercella. Beginning to think yes to print but no to animal...

3littlefrogs · 27/01/2012 18:15

Hi again. The sizes are reasonably generous. They do free returns, so you could order both.

DukesOfTripHazard · 27/01/2012 18:17

Oh good. Free returns people are my kind of people.

3littlefrogs · 27/01/2012 18:44

I like this one

PRINT,size:

but it isn't my colour.

I can't wear plain colours, I need smallish prints - (much more flattering for my hips). If you can wear plain colours there is a lot of choice.

blushingm · 27/01/2012 21:51

Have you seen the wolf fleece on that chums website? I though they were an urban myth!!

southeastastra · 27/01/2012 21:52

i have the isabella oliver wrap dress and it is very nice!

DukesOfTripHazard · 28/01/2012 13:27

Looked again at the Isabella oliver and saw the silver grey (and the fact that it's £57) and think I will go for it.
