HELP for party: don't like party wear!

Almondroca · 25/01/2012 21:52

I'm going to a 40th party next month and I don't know what to wear at all. I've seen some dresses I like but I dislike tights (but could tolerate if necessary) and really dislike heels that I cannot walk / dance in (i.e. any heels!).

Has anyone got any ideas of something I could wear that looks party-ish but isn't too 'done-up'? Would some sort of dress / leggings / boots combo work or is it too day time?

I'm 5'3" and size 10/12.

Thanks for any help :)

I' m similar to you and bt of a jeans and boots girl. Smart skinnies and heeled boots would be fine, or tunic/ smart leggings. Dress it up with your accessories, I love big jewellery, scarves etc... And hate party dresses...

Oh and pretty ballet flats if you hate heels. But I always find boots with heels more secure than strappy shoes.

What about a jumpsuit with lace ballet flats?

Hmmm, interesting thoughts there, thank you for your responses.

I would never have considered a jumpsuit - but actually that's a nice one and maybe it would be worth a try.
