after studying hundreds of MN posts on home hairdying I took the leap tonight and used 118 Med brown Nice n easy. Well i have ended up with orange roots! thought it was the least orange of the browns????
How can this have happended. On my salon dyed hair it is fine but the roots (same colour as dyed hair) are very gingery brown. Not happy.
Not really sure what to do. Will it fade or shall I put another dye on top? Head for the salon again ??? Help

buy a dark brown and put it over - is it perm or semi?

MissFoodie · 24/01/2012 22:13

and what is your natural colour?

perfectmummy · 24/01/2012 22:19

dark brown. Not red in it all all naturally but salon dying has made it slightly warm but a little darker than I would like. Was hoping for boring mid to dark brown. No red, no orange just brown

hhhmm if you're going to use nice n easy again then use the 120 -
i've always used superdrug and boots own colours, my hairdresser friend told me how to work out the numbering on them!

i had this problem. I was told to remove all of my previous hair dye build up with something called B4. I think it basically gives the hair dye a even base to apply to and then you dont get patchy/ uneven colour. Worked for me.

i never have good results with nice n easy. go with a l'oreal in future, their colours are much more reliable.
