Best blusher for a blonde with v pale skin?

My blusher (currently a No 7 one) is running out and they've discontinued the colour, grr. There was a new Lancome blusher palette thingy in the Style section of the Sunday times yesterday which caught my eye but it's not out yet.

What blusher do you swear by?

I am blonde with pale skin and use Benetint. You can build the colour as much as you want and it really perks up my face.

I aslo use a No7 blusher - which colour is being discontinued? Mine is a very pink one

sweetheart · 23/01/2012 14:24

oh also - last post I promise! Someone once told me that you should wear blusher the same colour as your lips. No idea if that advice is any good or not?!?!?!

Fregley · 23/01/2012 14:25

not

I've got similar colouring and wear bourjois rose d'or

OllieinOrange · 23/01/2012 14:37

I've got similar colouring and wear a pinky Laura Mercier one - think her whole range is v good for pale skin esp the tinted moisturiser.

DonaAna · 23/01/2012 16:40

I used to like Bourjois Rose d'Or but these days I like Chanel's Rose Ecrin and Pink Explosion much more. They look better on my v pale cool-toned skin. Also thinking about Nars Angelica and Gaiety

ameliagrey · 23/01/2012 17:32

I'm using a Clarins on e at the mo- comes with another colour in a palette- I have the peach tones. It's quite nice but for application I prefer L Mercier- I have one called Winter Bouquet (I think) which is a browny pink. I think I'd prefer one of her more peachy tones TBH- pink doesn't look as good on me as peach/apricot.

A fantastic combo is benetint plus dandelion powder from Benefit also.
Natural perkiness.

MaternalMusings · 23/01/2012 18:59

I'm porcelain and I use 'Gentle' by Mac. It's really quite pink and has a lovely shimmer to it Smile

PinotMN · 24/01/2012 09:26

Posietint is great for blondes as it's a fresh pink rather than a rosey pink like Benetint. Both Benefit.

Don't rule out a coral shade for blondes (especially in summer) as it can look stunning.

If using Pot Rouge by Bobbi Brown, stipple it on gently using a firm blusher brush. Makes it last longer.

fluffylegs · 24/01/2012 10:08

Bobbi Brown in Apricot. Weirdly it's the most un apricot colour ever. More of a fresh pink like the one Pinot mentioned. It's lovely though because it is just pink pigment, and so looks like a pretty blush rather than sweaty flush.

Thanks everyone :)

Right, little update. Turns out the woman in Boots who I saw last saturday was talking rubbish, the No7 colour, Soft Damson IS still available on the website so have ordered that. Oh and the Bourjois and Chanel ones which they also happen to stock.

I am too scared to get liquid blusher - I fear I'd either look like Aunt Sally or manage to spill the stuff everywhere....

If you have blue eyes as well then a coral shade will really bring them out. One of my favorites is MAC "Pinch O' Peach".
