Does you lip gloss stay put?

I have tried a few different lip glosses but they seem to rub off very quickly. Am I doing something wrong or do all lip glosses do that?

Which brands do you use which don't need applying dozens of times a day?
Thanks.

I like Bourjois 3D effects, they say they last 8hrs - they don't but they last a few hrs.

I use Carmex with a dab of lipstick. Lip gloss always disappeared within minutes of application for me.

I've heard Gloss d'Armani is one of the really few ones which really stays on. No personal experience, I'm a lipstick person.

I have a Clarins lip balm gloss thing (can't remember what it's called, but it's a balm with gloss, not their other gloss), and it lasts pretty well - I don't think you ever get hours out of gloss, but the upside is being able to reapply without a mirror.

I use a lipstick and then put the boots soap and glory motherpucker on top - get gloss that stays put for hours.

MAC lipglass lasts quite well for me or Maxfactor Lipfinity liptint (looks like felt tip) the colour lasts ages and just add a bit of vaseline for some shine.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I thought asking for a lip gloss to last as long as my lipstick does would be a bit optimistic but hey ho one that lasts half as long would do too. I normally use lipstick too but am ait bored of it at the moment and would like the option to use lipgloss too.
I have tried the maxfactor lipfinity liptint with a lip balm on top but it seemed very drying on the lips. Will check out the other suggestions when got to the shops later on in the week.

I have the Armani one. It's not sticky and yes, it lasts. I bought on a whim, out shopping with a friend. It was £21. I have never spent that much on a lip product being a firm advocate of L'loreal and Max Factor but......worth every penny.

ChiefPotterer · 18/01/2012 13:45

clinique superbalm is another good one - doesn't last ages but isnt sticky and is nice and moisturizing.

mathanxiety · 18/01/2012 14:27

I found the lipfinity was very drying too.

DonaAna · 18/01/2012 17:09

Thanks MrsLevi, will get an Armani one the next time I'm at a duty free - there are days when I'd love to have a really good gloss.

sobenobu · 18/01/2012 21:15

Bobbi Brown, MAC Lipglass and Stila are all super stayers.

leothelioness · 19/01/2012 09:44

Thanks every one will add the armani one, bobbi brown, MAC and stila to my list, i'm sure I will find one that seems right :)

I use maybelline superstay 18hr lip colour, not exactly gloss but close.
