Just wondering what other MNetters wear on nights out.

Also, what age you are, and where you go please?

I think I am having a bit of an identity crisis! :o

It depends where Im going

I am 29 (for 6 more days)

If I was going to local town I would prob wear Jeans, nice top and heels, hair down n straight (usually tied up)

If I was going to bigger town I would dress "up" a bit more :)

I'm 28. If I was going to my local town I would wear leggings (live in leggings) and a nice top with possibly smart flats. If I was going to the main town centre I'd wear leggings, nice top with heels. Maybe some false lashes and a bit more make up than the norm! Xx

It depends where I'm going. If dancing is involved or meal in semi nice place, then smart jeans, mega heels and nice top. If it's a special night out then mini dress and probably boots. I'm 42 but blessed with good genes so pass as late 20s/early 30s.

For dinner in a smart place or more formal parties, a nice dress.

If possible I always get my hair done professionally at a blow dry bar before going out.

The type of clubs I go to (bearing in mind I only go out 3-4 times a year to clubs) vary from cheesy 80s places, through to gay clubs, or even those bars that are so cool they're frigid - my lease favourite venue.

I am 41 and my clubbing days are a distant memory. A night out is meting friends for dinner at a nice restaurant or at someone's home. I wear a nice dress and heels.

We have the occasional girls night, and again I wear a nice dress (slightly less conservative than above) and statement heels.

Pretty dull, I know.

What's a night out?

mumatron · 15/01/2012 09:01

Usually skinny jeans, nice top and heels if it's just a girls night out.

If it's a special occasion I'll go for a dress and heels.

I always have my hair up and zero make up for work so I like to make an effort when I do go out.

I'm 29.

Thanks all.

Thinking I want to go a bit glam. I have seen some sequin mini skirts about, but not sure if I could pull off the look :o

I usually wear jeans or a print dress or something but it is similar to my daytime look, so needing some inspiration.

I am 35 - v petite - 5ft and a size 8 - 10. This usually leads to people assuming I am mid to late 20s.

Dinner with H in a nice place - Dress, tights, heels and clutch
Drinks with H and friends - skinny jeans, blouse, killer heels, jacket and clutch
Night out with the girls - leggings, dress and heels

hi there

Dont get a lot of nights out but in recent times there s been an (unusual but welcome) blip in the pattern ! due to christmas and friends from abroad coming home and a few family events ( i now feel able to comment on this but if you asked me 6 months I would have guffawed at the notion )
So jeans and heels mostly - love tops with a bit of sparkle in them, have noticed recently there s a few 'cool' t shirts with a bit of bejwelling (all saints and pinko) but tres expensive, am hoping to get my mits on one or a cheaper version of these as think it would look good with nice jeans (usually skinnies or straight leg) and heels for a relaxed but cool look (i m so overthinking this eh!)
Love the idea of the sparkle skirt and opaques and t shrit or even a knitted jumper type top for a more casual glam look

Have a zara black blazer that s fab too for over said tops think the evening cardi look is over tbh

If it s dinner out will wear jeans again (love my jeans)
Or a nice dress or skirt
Also depends on the crowd and place we re going to. Tend to try a bit more make up myself those nights, A good cut in my hair usuallly means i can style it myself but if it s a bit unruly I love the treat of getting it dried and done (and the style usually lasts a few days if I m not going to the gym etc)
