A huge massive thank you! Been dithering over a Mimi Berry bag forever, finally decided to buy, except they no longer had the brown one. Anyway, Pretty and Witty did, so I ordered it yesterday morning and it arrived this morning - so free next day delivery - v v good service, and the bag is utterly perfect - Mulberry standard leather (my benchmark).... So I am passing on the recommendation for both companies : )

I've linked to them before on here..... nice site.

it is brilliant, and the bag's fantastic - really really amazing quality for the price. Like Mulberry used to be years ago. If it was you madamecholet, thank you!

ooh nice bags - which one did you get?
I like the look of the bucket bags - am tempted...

yes - it was one of them - the Mae, in such a lovely dark dark brown. Have had my eye on it ever since India Knight enthused. The leather is really something else. Actually I like this more than any of my Mulberries, and it's a (comparative) bargain!

Oh no - don't tell me that :o

I'm thinking that it would be good for work - but also really useful at weekends - would it fit an A4 file in comfortably? Does it look smart enough for work meetings do you think? (not corporate)

What is the handle like? It looks quite thin but you can't really see properly on the picture. I'd probably wear it on a shortish handle so more under my arm iyswim - Do you think it could work?

Can you tell I've been thinking about it a lot?

faustina · 15/01/2012 11:12

ok - found an a4 ring binder (is that what you mean by folder?) - and it does fit, but you couldn't do the zip up. Not sure about work meetings - think it would depend on the company, but I'm not the best person to answer that since I don't do that kind of thing. The handle is bridle leather - hard, unlike the bag itself which is the sort of leather you want to keep stroking. It's quite thin, but gently widens at the part which rests on your shoulder. It is the nicest thing I've had for ages. Hope that helps!

thank you - that's really helpful - I think I'll probably go for it - it doesn't have to be smart for work - as long as I can fit paperwork in it then that's great - it's a bonus that it looks nice as well!
