Shoes with this dress?

I've posted a picture on my profile of a dress that I've just bought. I am a bit curvier than the lady in the photo but it is quite a flattering dress (if I may say so!) I've not got an occasion to wear it for yet, but will have this summer for sure...However, I've no idea what shoes to wear with it. The dress has an exposed black zip up the back (it is a McQ Alexander McQueen dress).

I was maybe thinking these in truffle. I'm not that great in towering heels but might be able to manage wedges.

Any suggestions? All I have are ballet pumps and red sandals, that aren't the same red as the dress.

Anyone? I've never asked for fashion help before....

I think the occaision would dictate the shoes somewhat but for me those shoes are a tad casual for the dress. Also if you are planning to wear it in summer would you not prefer open toe shoes?

Those Marc Jacobs wedges are divine & a fab price! I think they would set off the dress better than the Boden wedges, they are not quite right.

Thanks for the suggestions! The Marc Jacobs are lovely, except I fear the ankle straps will make my legs look stumpy. I am a size 14/16 but with good legs so I really need to show them off to their best advantage. I do like the direction the MJ ones are going in, though.

Do you think nude is the way forward?

Nude, red if you can match the shade, black if it's for evening, cobalt blue if looking at colour blocking.

But the beauty of nude is that they go with lots of other things you will have.
