sports bras for big boobs?

My DD2 who is 17, runs a few miles every day, usually on our treadmill, which is just as well as she has a boobs-falling-out-of-bra problem.

We need to find a decent supportive sports bra for her but she is a 28J (shock) poot kid, and wonder if there are any sporty people here who could point us in the right direction.

I have a Shock Absorber one which is brilliant - I've had a few sports bras in my time and have never felt so well supported. If you look on Figleaves' site they have a sale on them ATM. Don't know what size they go up to though I'm afraid

ScaryFairy28 · 12/01/2012 20:23

I was going to say shock absorber but not sure even they'd do that size, they are the best though, before shock absorber I used to wear two normal non wired bras with a Lycra skin then a t shirt. Sorry cant help more. Try reposting in the sports bit.

Sorry x post

at least some shock absorbers start from 28 back and they are quite tight, I usually go up a back size. check www.boobydoo.co.uk

Thanks Ladies!! Biggest they do is a 28HH she might be able to get away with that so we will order and see!

I've got this one and they do a 28J.

brighthair · 12/01/2012 20:51

I have the Royce one too and am 32J. Seems to come up a bit small in the back so worth trying on

suebfg · 12/01/2012 20:53

I wear a sports bra plus a normal bra - for extra support.

FatimaLovesBread · 12/01/2012 20:56

I second the shock absorber although i'm nowhere near a 28J Shock

dinkystinky · 12/01/2012 20:56

Try Enell - ugly as sin but really hold big big big boobs in place

bonzo77 · 12/01/2012 22:26

Another (cheap) option, especially if you can't find something normal, is to wear 2 bras. My housemate used to do this. A normal bra with a soft cup / sports one over the top. I do this when my sports bra is in the wash.

CharminglyOdd · 12/01/2012 22:29

I have the one the woman is wearing on the left of this page (shock absorber). I can jump up and down and nothing moves. At the time it was a total revelation Grin

bonzo77 · 12/01/2012 22:30

have just seen this £5 off

bonzo77 · 12/01/2012 22:32

I had the royce one, it does come up small in the back, so maybe order a couple of sizes, say the 28J, the 30J and the 30H and send back what's not suitable. It has a sort of velcro tab at the back that covers the hooks and eyes, so can be worn as a crop top with nothing on top. It's also a good one for wearing on top of another bra as I mentioned above.
