Crop tops?? After all this talk of genie bras...

A few people on the genie bra threads have mentioned that they wear crop tops instead of bras. Are they really a viable alternative? I have huge difficulties finding bras so would love to give pretty crop tops a go. I'm a 28DD, so not that big but need more support than the scraps of lace sold in topshop, urban outfitters et al. So where can I buy crop tops? Or are they a recipe for saggy uniboob?

saggy uniboob. Have you tried Freya bras?

Why do you find bras difficult?

I do - I think it's both a sensitive skin and fitting issue. There are quite a few good and comfortable crop tops around, but no really supportive ones - that I've found anyway.

I think the saggy uniboob thing depends very much on your breasts, obviously the perkier they are, the less of an issue sagging is.

It's a shame, I don't think it would take much to produce a comfortable, supportive alternative to a conventional bra, but nobody seems to have done it yet.

These are very very comfortable and wearable. But they won't give you a Jayne Mansfield silhouette if that's what you're after.

If you want proper bras www.curvykate.com/ start at a 28 back

Great tips, thank you! I'm going to have to google Jayne Mansfield...but I don't mind if I look flat chested tbh, quite like it sometimes!

Houseofcheese - I find them difficult because i'm fussy I think! Bravissimo, freya and fantasie all have such thick straps and are uncomfortable. I know it's because they are designed to support larger cupped women, but i'm not large, i just have a small back! I love mimi holliday bras as they are delicate, but half the time the 28s are sold out.
