Flat hair, prone to static, bit rubbish

ANYONE got any solutions for flat, fine hair. So awful in winter. Needs to be washed every day otherwise it goes greasy on the top and static on the buttom. Too, too ghastly.

Any product or styling ideas?

I've been wondering about that Babybliss crimper thing that is supposed to provide extra body - it crimps at the roots of the hair to create uplift (but you don't crimp on the top layer of hair, just the undersections) - has anyone tried it? I suspect my hair is a bit too thin and it will just look weird and crimpy.

If you colour it it will add body. I have the reverse problem and permenant colours make it unmanageable, so I have to keep using semis. We all want what we haven't got - i would love limp fine hair as I am tired of looking like a frizzy bush.

Here is an article by Sali Hughes in the Guardian re: products to combat static hair - she has fine hair and suffers static static. I haven't tried any of them yet, but am planning to!
