Help me with my hair dilemma :)

Ok, so first time poster in style and beauty, i'm quite fashion concious, and love style etc.
I'm 28, very pale skin, blue eyes..my natural hair colour is a brown, very close to black and imo made me look like morticia!!

I have been blonde since i was about 14, slightly darker, then slightly lighter phases.

I am due to have my hair coloured again in Feb by my normal colourist, i don't want to go completely dark, but like the idea of going a bit darker in general? Has anyone got any ideas?

What sort of hairstyle do you have? I've got a graduated bob (shorter at the back, coming round to chin length at front) and my hairdresser suggested black "face framing". About an inch wide either side of face and fringe, underneath layers, ikswim? The rest of my hair is quite a deep but vibrant red. I love it, and people are always complimenting me on it

Please understand, I don't get complimented on anything else

I have layered hair,just below shoulder, no fringe and wear to one side?! Love the sound of your hair
