Matte nail varnish - where to buy

RunsWithScissors · 11/01/2012 04:31

have seen a few examples of it. Love the "French manicure" effect that I've seen on pinterest a lot.

Does anyone know where to get it? Two brands have come up in google, opi and essence (which sells a top coat to use over any polish). No luck finding them on uk web sites.

Any ideas? Off to bed now, hoping to wake to loads of links :-D

I use Essie Matte About You top coat. It works great!

Where did you buy it? Is it available in boots/superdrug, or online?

Chanel has a Matt topcoat that you can buy in Boots. When it dries it goes matt

monkeysmama · 11/01/2012 16:31

The Essie is available brand new from eBay for about £8.

AbsofCroissant · 11/01/2012 16:32

Chanel stuff, but it's £18

RunsWithScissors · 11/01/2012 18:09

Eeep! £18 is a bit too steep. Actually hoping to find a stockier for the Essence one as it's apparently quite good and only about £2 (probably why I can't find it for sale anywhere).

Thank you kindly everyone :o

I have been using some from George at Asda - v cheap if you want to experiment with matte colours.

They also do a Matte top coat to make any of your current polishes matte
Dries very fast though!

Elf do a matte cover coat, it was in the sale recently for 75p.
