One of my resolutions is to actually wear the jewellery I've assembled over the years. Most of it is in good nick but the few silver bits I have (semi-precious stone rings etc) are tarnished. I also have a very beautiful thin indian bangle with (tarnished) silver on one side and very delicate enamelling in white and pale blue on the other side.
Anyway, would it be worth my getting an ultrasonic cleaner to clean the jewellery or should I just stick to cleaning fluids? I don't want to damage the semi-precious stones or their setting (don't want to damage my engagement ring either) likewise if something is gold or platinum plated I don't want to cause any problems. Not sure how safe ultrasonic cleaning is in comparison to the harsher chemical methods?
How do clean yours?
