I love wearing skinny jeans but only wear them underneath tunics or long line vests because I believe my thighs are too chunky to for skinnies.

DH thinks my thighs are fine.

For the record, I do a fair bit of running and the chunkiness is more muscle than fat.

Anyway, what do you think - too chunky for skinnies, yes? Uploading a pic from christmas eve when I was wearing a short top with them because we were just back from holidays and everything else was in the wash.

Be harsh, I can take it!

Honestly it's hard to tell as you are wearing dark jeans against a dark background and the angle of the photo doesn't show whether you are tall or short.

shouldabeenwashedinajug · 08/01/2012 21:28

Hmm, ok thanks, I'm 5ft 6 but my legs look quite stumpy in that pic, I think cos of the angle.

Looks fine to me. Go for it

There is a second pic, btw, if you scroll down, don't know if you saw it. Realised I could crop the photo and make it bigger.

I think you should keep the jeans and dump the slippers. HTH Wink

Catsmamma · 08/01/2012 21:30

your thighs look fine, but those slippers need burning! ;)

shouldabeenwashedinajug · 08/01/2012 21:31

Hehe, thanks Curryspice. The slippers were a gift from my mother, who was in the room at the time.

They have since been ditched Wink

All thighs look better with the addition of a heel imho :)

Hello! :)

shouldabeenwashedinajug · 08/01/2012 21:40

I agree curryspice, I normally wear them with these but don't have a picture of me not in them.

Thing is, I spend a lot of time popping round to people's houses and then the shoes come off. So the look sans shoe (and yes, sans slipper Wink) needs to be not too chunky, surely?

Your thighs are absolutely fine shoulda Stop your fretting!

shouldabeenwashedinajug · 08/01/2012 22:00

Hmm. Ok, thanks.

Will await more opinions if they are forthcoming.

Your thighs look fine but the slippers look as if you have stolen them from a man with v big feet. :)

maydaychild · 08/01/2012 22:19

trixymalixy · 08/01/2012 23:10

Willowisp · 08/01/2012 23:41

Slipper boots ? To avoid the max wall look Grin

winnybella · 09/01/2012 00:05

They look totally fine. Nice muscle definition, too Envy Deffo not too chunky.

Sausagesarenottheonlyfruit · 09/01/2012 00:20

Yep look fine. I'm not nice enough to lie, so you can take that as an honest compliment!

Ribeno · 09/01/2012 08:02

No need to be self conscious with those thighs- thy look trim.

Piffpaffpoff · 09/01/2012 08:05

I want to know about the PJs too!

TheCrunchUnderfoot · 09/01/2012 08:09

Fine thighs. Poised and queenly thighs compared to the flabby rabble that are mine :)

shouldabeenwashedinajug · 09/01/2012 08:35

Wow thank you! I'm three stone lighter than I was 18 months ago at the end of my pg with dd2 and I genuinely don't have a good sense of how I look now so that's really helpful.

As for the pj's dd1 (standing) came from m and s and dd2 came from gap. Fwiw the m and s one were cheaper and better quality

Sorry but I think you are right. Smile
Your upper thigh is quite generous and you would look better with a top covering the last 6 inches of it!

You don't look overweight, as you say it's muscle, but the pic is not a flattering one of your thighs and your legs to me look stumpy and chunky.

sorry.

HouseOfCheese · 09/01/2012 09:17

I think your legs are fine and nicely shaped, and the jeans are fine, but the outfit needs a longer top and either boots or a chunky highish heel.

I don't think skinny jeans showing from waist to ankle flatter many people tbh, you have to be truly tall and willowy for it to suit.
