I've fallen in love with this dress to wear as my wedding dress but we are on a really tight budget and I can't afford it nor can I find one second hand anywhere :(

when did ted baker get so expensive??? £399 for that dress, and they have another dress at £999!!!!

Just a thought, but could you find a competent dressmaker to copy it?

I wore something very similar for our wedding, ivory not purple though and it was £200 from Monsoon.

Sorry I can't help, but it's a gorgeous dress! Could you cut back on something else to buy it, or perhaps sell it afterwards to get some money back (although that would be hard to do!)

I can recommend Milly Bridal - they do cheap knockoffs copies of designer wedding dresses and my mate fell for one and had it made by them for a fraction of the cost. Given that the majority of wedding dresses are made in China anyway - even the ones with Italian, English or Spanish names - you get the same quality for a fraction of the cost. They ship you a toile and make it to measure, exactly to your specifications. My mate's one was such good quality, real silk with beautiful embroidery and beading. If I was to get married again I'd def use them.
