House of Colour make up

I had my colours done the other day and it was brilliant! I'd love to get some blusher/lipstick etc from my colour palette and wondered if anyone had used the HoC make up? Or do you use your wallet to find other brands? Many thanks

The lipstick is brilliant, really goo pigment and long lasting. Ever so slightly drying, but I think it's almost impossible to avoid with lipstick that actually lasts.

The blusher is pretty crap, I have a nice No7 one. Mac blushers are always good, and tons of colour.

good pigment.

I have two lipsticks my perfect shades, the dual compact foundation which is absolutely fantastic, and also the blusher, which is ok but I'm sticking with it because it's exactly the right shade for me.

Flowery do you rate the compact then? I'm contemplating getting one when I finally do my make up session.

I do, yes. I apply with a kabuki brush, excellent coverage, doesn't feel heavy at all, have the exact right shade, love it.

I love House of Colour Dual Foundation. It was bizarre because my mum got done recently, and she spotted various colurs of it on her and one of them looked fecking ORANGE. Turns out that one is the one I've been happily using these past few months!!! I'm a spring, she's a winter. Its all good.

Dual Foundation with kabuki type brush is the bestest ever school run makeup (i.e 2 seconds to do but works). Equally good for office/night out but so easy and spot on.

I only bought the lippy and its AWFUL. Like scary 1980s quality lippy, so heavy and drying on the lips. Have found much better alternatives in similar colours at MAC, Clinique and Max Factor

Ow I'm having my colours done tomorrow and can't wait :) I haven't been able to buy anything new 'just in case it's the wrong colour'

Thanks loads everyone. I've been so excited since having my colours done I just want to buy everything afresh (in my dreams mostly though!)

I can't wait to have the style day now too (post pregnancy I think though!!)
