does anyone make their own beauty products?

Hi i'm thinking about making some beauty products as I'm fed up buying stuff loaded with chemicals and stuff that doesn't actually do what they say they do.

I've started researching it and have ordered 2 books from amazon on making natural and organic beauty products -i thought i'd start with some facial moisturisers and some hand cream.

Has anyone got any words of wisdom to impart to help me on my way, e.g books, suppliers, recipes etc?

Neals Yard sell the basics you'd need I think. I also think they will offer advice and have a book you can buy. Will watch with interest.
