I am going out at the end of the month for my birthday (34th) and I want to shake off the dowdy, jean dwelling lissie for the night. I am short (5'1") and slim (size 8) with narrow hips/waist and slightly larger bust I was thinking of something like this with thick tights and black patent shoeboots? whaddya think? bit muttony?

have just got this dress and I love it

Any good?

madammecholet · 08/01/2012 12:18

prefer the dress from pinkflipflop to the play suit....however, lissielou with your figure I bet you could wear a bin liner and look lovely.Smile

its v nice, but we are going to a couple of funky bars then to a 80's/90's revival club (I know!) so might be a bit too grown up.

Love the first playsuit. I'm nearly 34 and would def wear that. Don't think second playsuit is suitable - think it looks like something you'd wear on holiday with flip flops.

Dont like the above 2 links, think both dresses look really tacky. Sorry - get the first playsuit!

BellaVita · 08/01/2012 17:03

I love the purple dress Lissie.

But I also like the first play suit too.

Ifancyashandy · 08/01/2012 17:11

The first play suit is lovely. I'd definitely wear it in the way you've described. And I'm 41!

OracleInaCoracle · 08/01/2012 17:26

The thing with playsuit 1 is that I could dress it down with flat boots and a scarf for spring. I think its my favourite.

I like the playsuit but the model is 5ft 9, so 8 inches taller than you, will you not look a bit swamped in it? Asos do petite, but it might be worth looking at Miss Selfridge, Topshop etc in their petite sections too.

OracleInaCoracle · 08/01/2012 17:55

I did think of that, but my inside leg is 30" so I usually get away with stuff that is destined for taller girls and just disguise my short waist with a wide belt. I looked at top shop and miss s but couldn't see much I liked. There was a nice playsuit in miss s that was £35 but this ones half the price and more versatile.
