This sounds a bit bonkers, but I have loads of nice leather bags that are 3-7 years old....outside they're still in great condition, so I def don't want to throw them away, but inside it's another story! The linings (mostly cotton or poly/cotton mix) are stained with ink, have toothpaste, juice, perfume, food, mashed banana on them... you name it. I have tried to 'wash down' the insides but it doesn't stop the fact that the linings are manky.
I would really like to find a company/someone who replaces these linings and sews them back in. I would try to do it myself but am totally incompetent, particularly when it comes to stitching around leather... quite tricky. I know that some high end brands like Prada will re-line your bag if it's in bad condition, but my bags aren't Prada -- more Hobbs and TKMaxx...
If anyone has suggestions of how to revive the lining of my bags grateful if you could advise!
Thanks!
