just that!
A trying to look more together this year. My hands are horribly dry and my face is suffering in the wind and cold. My face skin is pretty sensitive, tired and aging. All my DCs are sleeping and I need to halt the slide!
Don't want to spend a fortune on hand cream as will plough through it but willing to invest a bit more if needed in my face.

MIL bought me some Dr Hauschka Rose face cream and it is amazing - lovely and thick but not greasy. I have v sensitive skin which is dry at the mo and it has really helped.

It seems to be cheapest to buy it off amazon.

L'occitane Ultra Rich Shea Butter Face Cream, about £28 but so, so worth it . Not greasy and lasts for ages. I would also say L'occitane Shea Butter hand cream, but if the cost of the hand cream is the compromise I would say Aveeno is very good.

If your skin is sensitive, L'Occitane's hypoallergenic face cream is the only cream I've ever tried that is genuinely hypoallergenic.

If you really want budget hand cream, E45 does the job and so does almond oil - you can buy it from food stores and it smells (IMHO) absolutely delicious and is very good for dry nails too. Not very chic, either of these options, though! Grin

Body shop hemp hand protector - rescued DH's red, scaley hands and bleeding knuckles...

I love Origins A Perfect World - protecting moisturiser with SPF 25 - we walk a lot and I find that it's fab for protecting my skin. It smells divine too!

I'll be looking for hand cream recommendations as mine are awful atm!

I am obsessed with elizabeth arden 8 hour cream, i love the skin protect for my hands, just put it on before bed. And the face moisturiser is soooo soothing.

I know lots of people on here dont rate it, but i have spent feckin hundreds on hand cream over the years because mine are such a mess from washing them every 2 minutes at work, its the only cream thats worked for me

I love Clinique for my face. And agree about the almond oil for hands and nails. I was a sworn Clarins hand cream fan for years, but think Nick Lowe from Boots is excellent and it's often on offer or as part of 3 for 2 deals.

LaTristesse · 04/01/2012 21:06

I've just discovered Liz Earle's Superskin moisturizer for my face and am loving the results so far. It's rich and soft but not oily, and soaks in well. I have no idea about hand cream though; mine are like papyrus...

Handcream - Aveda the best, then L'Occitane, then Clarins imho. But if you want cheaper, then Flexitol or Garnier Hydralock are the best I've found.

Face - Olay Regenerist is good but not sure how good it would be for sensitive skin. Decleor Hydrafloral (may have got that name wrong) might be good too but it's expensive.
