Dorothy Perkins - sizing? Which dresses?

Have a long list of dresses, like them all but no idea on he dorothy Perkins coes up size wise. Im an m&s size 12 with a 32g bust!

I like that last one, but depends what you want the dress for?
Couldn't really say as I find that type/neckline of dress makes me look v top heavy and sort of shelf like

i like wearing dresses but have got out the habit, i made a big effort last year to lose weight (nearly 2 stones) and get back down to a 12/14 (depending on the shop as i was edging nearer and nearer to being out of a size 16.

I want them for work and/or weekend wear really.

my other concern is the length, hey do seem short! but then i'm an average 5ft 5.5 and im guessing the mannequin is 6ft ish!

Hmm, well I'm exactly your height and find that DP dresses end up being very slightly longer on me than on screen but not by much, so I'm guessing the 'mannequin' they use is about 5ft 7ins (disclaimer - I do have a long body and short legs so that might make a difference)

Have risked 3 dresses, free delivery and free returns.

Have had a few from DP recently and all good sizing.

Hoping these fit - cant be bothered to go shopping and need a couple more for work.

Need to eBay my bravissimo dresses as only been worn a couple of times and now too big.

Oh what lovely dresses.

My favourite are the jade green and purple shift dresses, and the fit and flar dark purple one. But the stripey ones are also nice.

I am a 10 in DP, I think they are generously sized, so probably a 12 really.

Mine are 12s from there but I am shorter than you and much smaller on top :) They are above knee but not too short on me - you've seen me wear them - have 3 diff ones in blue, green and purple

I have the second of the ones you bought in a 14, I'm a 30H/HH so similar chest dimension to you and fits very well (although with the style/stretch of fabric I could posisbly have got a 12 instead). They aren't that short at all either, I think their models are giants!

Darn you I hadn't seen the red spot one...I don't need any more dresses..repeats...

Scotsgirl - it's not possible to have too many dresses!

I am a 16 and find they are quite true to size. I have just ordered the green dress that you first linked to and plan to wear it over leggings if it is very short, but I am 5'2, so it will be longer on me than on the model.

I also find DP generous in their sizing, as I am usually a 10 for skirts and dresses and a 12 for jeans and trousers, but for some reason, can get into size 8 dresses from DP. Hope they live up to your expectations!

Dresses arrived and love them all! Size wise could probably go down a size waistwise but need the room for boobs but because of the fabric they don't look too big.

Black dress a little short but other 2 will be perfect for daywear/workwear.

I have the same problem with most dresses - thank god belts are currently fashionable!

im a 14 and find a 14 perfect for me. i own a few dotty p dresses now...those you linked are lovely.

i an now vowing to stay off the sales! dotty p is particularly good as the delivery is free over a certain price and returns are easy as there is a dotty p in town..

not looking again!
