Green Hair

Plse help, my sis has beautiful dyed ash blonde hair with highlights, she washed her hair at home [she washes her hair usually in my house], old house copper pipes hard water and her hair looks like she coloured it for ST Patricks day [really green] she cannot afford to go back to the hairdresser and I cannot afford to give her a loan until next week, Does anyone now any home remedies she can use plse

Tomato ketchup.

Yes, I'd read tomato ketchup works too. Something in it neutralises the bleach iirc. See if this helps.

Just double checked with hairdresser in family. Yes tomato ketchup works. The science is that you need all 3 colours of the colour wheel in your hair to make various shades of blonde brown etc. The water used has stripped out the red, leaving only yellow and blue which of course make green. You need to add back the red. Ttomato ketchup works, as does rinsing the hair in red wine! An alternative would be to use a red colour shampoo [not an actual semi or permanent colour, just a shampoo]. John Frieda do a red colour shampoo which was recommended.

Thank you so much, we went with the ketchup she went and bought a brand none of the Lidl crap for her hair and it did really tone it down so more a tinge which she can live with I will tell her to buy the red colour shampoo and try it and then to leave it in her house so if she has to wash her hair at home again it might help save her from green hair
