or can we start one. Grin

I remember in January of 2011 there was a supercool thread where everyone posted on their best/fave products for skincare, makeup haircare etc and I picked up loads and loads of tips and ideas, as I am sure lots of others did.

Well ladies, anyone up for it?

I will check them out. Are they disgustingly beautiful and v young though?

Gorgeous wedding dress btw.

Well for its botox without a doubt and did it for the first time just over a year ago after reading Noddy's thread.

Oh and strip wax bars for pain-free waxing - seriously.

And Simone Perele strapless bra - the very best strapless bra ever.

it was a lovely dress (and much cheaper last year!). I Ebayed it a month after the wedding for about 2/3 the original cost Blush

They have the most amazing skin, but are very likeable. Try to be Envy but can't....

Love this tread.
Agree finding MN and S&B have been a lifeline this year!

Learning how to d smokey eye from a link here was my S&B find!

Also
ponds cocoa butter - use it always and I swim a lot so need a good moisturiser - my skin is always great because of it.

Laura mercier foundation

Clinique sparkle skin does come in a tube- but is smaller and therefore slightly more expensive, but I have some in the shower.

talkingnonsense · 04/01/2012 22:05

Also agree soap and glory wish upon a jar is good, am using for the second time at the moment ( they say 4 x a year) .

mydoit · 04/01/2012 22:14

talkingnonsense the version in the tube is quite different to the one in the jar. The one in the jar is way better IMO, it is thicker, more scrubby and more mentholy. I find the one in the tube is gel based. Not really sure why they make both.

talkingnonsense · 05/01/2012 09:26

Really?! I've only had the tube, so assumed they were the same! I like the tube, will have to try the tub, but I've got a lovely sanctuary salt and oil scrub to use first.

Pinot · 05/01/2012 10:46

talking nonsense I read on their FB page that you can use it for as long and as often as you want - I don't use it at all in spring/summer but nightly in the winter and random weeks here and there in the Autumn. They say every 3 months as a guide but everyones skin needs different things.

Hopefully That wedding dress is gorgeous!! I want to get married in that (have been happily married for 14yrs and had stoooooopid meringue).

Bourjois illuminating touch powder in rose is a lovely highlighter if you like a bit of sparkle.
Just bought a creme blusher by illuminasque in rude which I love.
Bourjois healthy skin foundation is just as good as a clinique one at half the price.

alemci · 05/01/2012 18:05

Mine are

Clarins handcream
Beauty flash

soap and Glory handcream in blue tube

Clinique Butter Shine lipstick in Pink Goddess
Almost Make up

Liz Earle moisturiser and cleanse and polish

Oh God, I am a product addict! Ummm...

Neal's Yard Rose Facial Oil. I give myself a facial massage with it after cleansing most nights and it has improved my skin no end. Someone on MN recommended it last year and have been using it ever since. A little goes a logn way and it lasts for months and months.

Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery moisturiser with SPF30 - great stuff.

Nars bronzer compact and Nars Orgasm Illuminator (for lovely dewy, rosy look to cheeks). Cannot believe I only recently discovered Nars!

Estee Lauder Doublewear Light foundation. Good if you want decent coverage but a light feel and finish.

Clinique chubby sticks and Clinique Super Balm - for weirdos like me who find lipstick too heavy but gloss to, well, glossy. Chubby sticks are a sort of lip stain and Superbalm is a less glossy gloss, iyswim. Love them both.

Eve Lom Cleanser with hot cloth. I only need to use it a couple of times a week or when I have been wearing a lot of make-up. Leaves skin so soft and clean feeling without being tight.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 05/01/2012 20:38

Ooh, highlights this year have been;

Oil cleansing
MN scarf
Garnier bb cream
Lisa Aldridge's tutorials
UD "Naked palette"
Sally Hansen airbrush legs
Heidi Klein bikinis
Hush harems
BB cheek and lip tint

sue52 · 05/01/2012 20:49

My best find last year was Elemis pro-marine collagen moisturiser. Pricey but worth every penny. What is BB cream and does it work?
