Can a pear shape achieve lovely legs and bum?

I am a typical pear shape. Quite good top half but big bum and heavy legs. I have always dreamed of having lovely toned legs and a nice bum but never really believed it was achievable. I was wondering if any of you ladies have managed it and if so how?

I am subtly pear shaped but definitely have heavy legs. Best exercises for my legs are walking everywhere and running. Yoga has also been very beneficial - particularly ashtanga. All of those forms of exercise get the lymph moving which is the hardest thing to shift when you are heavy of leg. Also recommend working hard at massaging in your daily moisturiser. Not going to recommend any particular type but again just getting the lymph shifting will improve tone and appearance. Use combination of long sweeping upward strokes (ankle to knee and knee to top of thigh) and small, firm circular motion with finger tips and heel of hand.

I also find that walking quickly when I wear high heels gives my legs a brilliant workout :)
