Does anybody do their own gel nails at home?? with a rio uv kit or other type??

I was bought the rio uv extension kit for christmas... ive used it a couple of times now as the first set i did some of the nails flicked off the next day?!

Ive read up a bit online and the overall opinion seems to be that you need to apply thin coats of gel and u can use the lamp for double the time... HELP!!!

I didnt expect them to be perfect first time but i wouldnt mind knowing how to get the best results :)

i've been doing mine for months, but use Artistic Colour Gloss which is a hybrid so easier to apply than a gel; however, process is same, you need to do all steps, ie ph prep, base coat, colour, top coat; I do 2 mins each coat.
never had any problems and look as good as salon!

Ive never heard of it before.. Would i get it online? Is it expensive? X
