Has anyone ever asked for a swap with a used make up item - Bobbi brown in J Lewis?

I bought an BB eye shadow in JL Oxford St last week- lighting is terrible and I should know never to buy in there . I dithered between Bone and Ivory- took the ivory and it's almost white when seen in daylight - not what I wanted at all.

I've used it once and still have the box & receipt. Do you think they might be willing to exchange on the basis of poor store lighting?

p.s.- I don't mean they could re-sell it- mean as a good will gesture!

all you can do is try. tell them they gave you the wrong one and you wanted bone.

bone is a staple colour from BB.

i managed to exchange Nars in Selfridges after they sold me a horrific blusher, don't see why JL wouldn't? you've got nothing to lose by trying!

I would ring JL and ask to speak to someone on the BB counter first. I had one of their gel eyeliners which dried up, I really look after all my make up so was quite surprised this happened after just a few months. The lady on the counter gave me their customer service number at BB head office. Rang it, described the issue, they sent me a replacement out less than a week later. Worth a try.

thanks- have emailed customer services, and said thought I was not advised well- a white eyelid is not flattering for someone in their 50s!
