Sizing on Timberland boots?

I was going to order these...

Timberland Rudston Boots

Does anyone know what the sizing is like for Timberland? I am a size 6 (continental 39) - are they generally 'true' to size.

Just read the reviews and one of them said that the boots were quite snug.

I have those boots. I found them true to size.

I found mu usual size a little snug (now worn only tried on so far), thinking of going up 1/2 a size, but the tightness is across the foot so not sure it would help or not.....

Sorry, I''m not sure I am being helpful!

Mine arrived today, they are lovely! I would say they are true to size. I think the reason why they are a little tight across the foot is because there is a removable insole inside. They were a little tight at first but soon loosened up. Hope that helps.

Thanks all. I am going to order them today - I have been looking for ages for some waterproof boots that are a bit smarter than my Merrells.

I am a size 41 (always 41, no matter whether the shop claims that 41 is a 7 or an 8) and the boots I ordered from Amazon in a size 41 fit fine.

I find going by European sizes rather than UK sizes more reliable.
