Right ladies i'm up the duff, and while DP and i were planning our wedding for the summer we started trying just in case.

So, now i'm due Aug/Sept and DP still wants early June wedding.

What can i wear?! Not white (also divorced so this time) I fancy red. Does anyone know a good maternity wedding dress stockist? I have googled and it's all pretty frumpy. I like this but think i will be too pregnant by then.

that's very pretty, also monsoon do lots of flowy type dresses which you could probably get away with while very pregnant

McQueasy · 03/01/2012 19:50

something from here?

LRDtheFeministDragon · 03/01/2012 19:53

No advice, but I had to come on to say congratulations on both counts! How exciting - you will look beautiful.

I think I saw a long, red maternity dress on the ASOS site, I will go see if I can find it again and if it's formal enough.

My SIL got married six months pregnant and she got her dress made - it wasn't that expensive and she loved it!

Spuddybean · 03/01/2012 19:55

cheers Mc i don't really like the neck lines tho i want something bare shouldered i think, and bright red - well i might as well dress like the shameless scarlet woman that i am!!

Depending how formal you want to be, would this be pretty?

Ooh, I found the one I meant! Ok, it's ridiculously cheap so may not feel special enough, but I love it so thought I would link in case you do too.

LRD that is nice but i want a bit more dressy - full lenth/strappy/strapless.

Mc cheers but i don't think even i'm shameless enough for white Grin

Oi, there's nowt shameless about white - it's teh last time you'll want to wear it for a while with the risk of baby muckiness, it would be almost practical to do it! Wink

fuckityfuckfuckfuck · 03/01/2012 20:06

I recommend Monsoon too. I have a friend who got married at about 6 months pregnant in a beautiful empire line dress from there, it fit beautifully she just bought a size or 2 up.

This is pretty too, if you do decide to go down the white route.

queen & evil i love it! exactly what i was looking for - thank you!

LRD i wore a beautiful white dress to my 1st wedding, and while i do love white and it suits me (not off white or cream tho - i need pure blue/white - dark hair, pale skin, green/blue eyes) i think red is good for this wedding...maybe i'll go back to white for my next one! Wink

Thank you ladies - i new mn would provide!

Spuddybean · 03/01/2012 20:32

LRDtheFeministDragon · 03/01/2012 20:33

Oh, that is a stunning dress!

LRDtheFeministDragon · 03/01/2012 20:34

Blush Ahem. Obviously I meant the one queen and evil linked to ... wasn't approving of my own taste, honest! Grin

Spuddybean · 03/01/2012 20:34

Certainly do - i don't have many friends (all ditched me when i left exH and it emerged he was fucking bf/head bridesmaid) and would welcome a boost on my side!

QueenKong · 03/01/2012 20:37

He sounds like a right catch Hmm. Sounds like you had a lucky escape!

Congratulations, I hope you have a wonderful day and healthy pregnancy.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 03/01/2012 20:39

What a knob. Will you be able to ensure he 'acidentally' gets to see the pictures of you glowing gorgeously and looking smug?
