Casual clothes for tall slim men?

My first new thread ever on mumsnet, and it's for DH, not me!
He would really appreciate some ideas about where to buy casual clothes from. He is 6'4'' tall, but a fairly athletic build (34/36'' waist). He really struggles to get clothes which are long enough, especially tops; most t-shirts and jumpers are just too short in the torso and sleeve (or if they are extra large, are maybe long enough, but far too wide). Timberland used to be good, but seem to have changed the cut of their tops recently. We've just come back from a totally unsuccessful shopping trip, and he's feeling very fed up. Wondered if anyone else's DH or DP had the same problem, and if they had any suggestions? Smile

Have you tried Gap? My DH if 6' and 30" waist and they were great - not sure about length of clothes for taller blokes but would have thought American brands might have a wider range?

There's a shop called High And Mighty for big and tall men but I have no idea what their clothes are like.

Dp is 6'1 with a 32' waist and gets most of his jeans from Gap, Wrangler or M&S. His best t-shirts have been from rambler/outdoor type shops - I guess ramblers like to tuck their shirts in or something, so they come up longer! :)

Thank you both. Smile
He has tried Gap, but I think he maybe has a long torso in proportion to the rest of him because none of the tops are quite long enough; he looks like he has just outgrown them!
He tried high and mighty but a lot of the stuff was for men of a sturdier build.

Remus, great idea about outdoor clothing, will give that a try!

Have also thought about just accosting tall men in the street and asking them where they buy clothes from...
