Right. WHAT is with all the POLYESTER everywhere?

Everything I look at is made of polyester this year.

Topshop, Great Plains, John Lewis, Hobbs...everywhere is using the stuff like mad.

Is there a worldwide shortage of cotton?
Or is it the retro trend thing that has also (re)enabled 'Ponte' to become part of everyday wear?

I hate polyester, and if it isn't polyester it's blinking viscose or some other weirdy man made stuff. I feel like I am drowning in a sea of artificial fabric.

On the positive side I've done less shopping because of this.

at least Toast is still making normal stuff. I did eventually get drawn into buying a sweater there this morning as I had credit to use up and it had gorn into the sale, finally. Still a whacking great price but better than it was, and half went on the tab anyway so I feel less splurgy.

It had better be nice that's all I can say.

Just means I'll be tempted to do less shopping for a year or two.
I've got plenty of summer dresses, just won't be tempered to new ones.
Acrylic knit wear is fine, I'm allergic to wool.
Good viscose is ok for winter, it varies from feeling like cotton to feeling like the worst polyester. A right pain online, you want to touch it.
