Slippers for slipper-hater that are not mules??

Have been advised by physio to wear slippers. I hate wearing slippers but my feet are sore so I will give it a go. Can't find any that are not either mules (backless) or old lady stylee. Any suggestions oh wise ones? I particularly need padding under the sole so slipper socks would probably not give enough support. Thanks.

Have you tried slipper boots? You can get them from most places like next, accesorize etc

Im a slipper hater but have bought these and will not be separated from them...I may buy a second pair in case they sell out...here

I use Toms slip on canvas shoes instead of slippers. They're quite padded in the sole and might be ok?

I have some lovely ones from M&S which are ballet flat style, black with a furry lining. I avoided slippers for years as I hate mules too but I LOVE these!

mme, well both my mum and I got lovely pairs for xmas...
try these guys or if you have cash to throw at the problem, these look very toasty
I like the fins take on slippers here and here

I hate slippers but wear Crocs around the house - they're excellent and you can go outside in them without risking them being worn away/wet through in the wet as with normal slippers. Mammoth are the ones I have but they do make ballet style pumps as well as deck shoe type things, it's not all clogs!

I was given slipper boots last year grey fluffy ones and thought ooh!no! - never gonna wear those - - but I did and now love them! toasty warm and cosy !Grin

I hate slippers and just wear flip flops.

Crocs are great for foot support and v comfy around the house. Also you could try a pair of cheap fake uggs if your house tends to be cold, they keep your ankles toasty!

Hi thanks yes some great ideas here that I had not thought of, like the Crocs suggestion, and I think you can get them with a sheepskin lining. Will also try some fake uggs on. Love those finnish ones, I would feel like a giant Elf in those!
