I am torn between two pairs of boots, would love to buy both but I can not even barely afford one pair...

This is the first pair not sure what colour

This the second pair in deep mahogany

Many thanks!

I like the second pair (Doc Martens) best. I am not that keen on the Fly boots.

startail · 03/01/2012 11:18

The DMs are lovely. The fly boots would need a younger, effort dress sense than I have.

startail · 03/01/2012 11:21

Edgier dress sense, they are a bit biker.
The DMs would go with everything.
They look super comfy too.
No good looking I've got new boots and therefore no Xmas money left.

I like both too ! Smile Have you tried sites like Javari and Amazon as you could possibly get them cheaper than that ?

DressingGownQueen · 03/01/2012 11:29

The Dr Martens, defiantly.

Yama · 03/01/2012 11:31

I have both in different colours. The Fly boots are way comfier and have a slight heel so I feel a tad taller. The Doc Martens are smarter though (never thought I'd ever write that).

TracyK · 03/01/2012 12:06

I have those Fly boots too (in black) - I'm sure I watched and waited last year and got them for under £70.
I don't really like the colour of the DM's.

BistoBear · 03/01/2012 12:32

Thank you ladies :)

Startail I am a bikeless biker at the minute so maybe that's the attraction :)

Kerstina I've seen the DMs for about £70ish on Amazon, will try Javari too, thanks :)

I like both but the DMs slightly more. I noticed the Fly ones in the sale last week for £99 in a shop called Sole Trader, in case you have one near you!

Fo0ffyShmo0ffer · 03/01/2012 12:53

Oh get the DMs. I covet them Grin

TapselteerieO · 03/01/2012 12:55

I have Fly Mols (£40 ones from Office sale) they are not waterproof, glad I never paid full price for them. Jones The Bootmaker have a good sale many boots half price. I have seen good reviews on here of DM boots.

EdlessAllenPoe · 03/01/2012 12:59

the DMs. don't like the finish on the fly ones.

BistoBear · 03/01/2012 13:11

I've bought the DMs Grin

I love boots and before becoming a poor nursing student I would buy a couple of pairs every winter. This is the first pair I've bought in two winters :) It does mean that I'll be walking to placement as I'll have no petrol money but at least I'll have a new pair of boots to walk in Wink

Oh balls! I forgot to change the delviery address from my home address to my halls address! Just went back into Amazon to try to change it and a friggin' "error has occurred, try again later", nooo!

I'm not due home for a few weeks and DP is in Afghanistan so there will be no-one to take my poor boots in, grr!

I'll keep trying, please work!!
