Hair clips for baby

dd (15m) has an unruly mop that falls into her eyes, and is causing problems especially at the moment as she has an eye infection and I'm sure her grubby hair (usually with food in it) isn't helping. I really don't want to cut a fringe in just yet but the hair clips I've tried haven't stayed in, or made me popular with dd.

Can anyone recommend baby hair clips that a) stay in b) don't hurt c) aren't a horrendous choking hazard? Oh and if I'm beaing really fussy I'd prefer that they aren't pink/fluffy/glittery/princessy either :)

Does such a thing exist, or if not is that why you see babies with the "mini pineapple on head" look? Any alternatives - headbands?? Dh is suggesting hair gel...

I get my dd's from Sainsbury's

I have the same problem with my dd and haven't been able to find any that work. I think I am just going to have to cut her hair when she is asleep.

Thanks! I will try Sainsbury's and if that doesn't work then go with your more drastic suggestion DGQ :)
