I've ordered five dresses from ASOS, do I want Lands' End too or am I getting silly?

I have just ordered five dresses from ASOS. Which will go back if they don't fit. Almost certainly some of them will go back. Or so I said to DH. I suspect I'm actually a little over-enthusiastic as a result of being very broke before Christmas and suddenly getting several bits of money all together now. Which is good, right?

So now that I am splurging, can you tell me if I want to buy a knit dress from Lands' End too? They keep popping up as sidebar adverts so clearly someone thinks I should buy them. Are they good? And what associations do you have with them ... are they quite grown-up? Staid?

I like this one, but I am a short (5'4) type with boobs and a round tummy, so will it work?

Thanks! Smile

Btw, in case you can't tell, I am in the mood to be swayed to buying anything. Anything at all ...

Cowl neck rubbish with big norks

LRDtheFeministDragon · 02/01/2012 11:29

They're not that huge, they're about D cup so I can occasionally get away with it. But I take your point.

Why are knit dresses so hard to find? I had a gorgeous one from Karen Millen that was clingy in the right places and had a sort of ruched strip across it so it didn't cling in the wrong ones ... and it died in the wash. Sad

If I could get something that nice again I would shell out for the dry cleaning, I think.

Fat face ones are nice.

How about this?

It has a lovely cut and pulls in at the waist. But the only problem is that it is a bit sheer so you'd need a slip underneath.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 02/01/2012 11:50

Sorry, I think the sheer one would annoy me and it looks as if that would be a little long on me - I think they look funny when they're hitting below the knee.

lord - thanks, I will have a browse. Smile
