So, DH is flying from heathrow tomorrow and has said he will venture in the mulberry shop.
I intend to get the chocolate Bay soon ish. So, Should I get the long lock purse www.mulberry.com/?gclid=CMTS5Me8r60CFUQMfAodtl1Fng#/storefront/c5489/4651/moreviews/
or

I quite like the postmans lock but don't think this comes in chocolate.

I am not sure if I prefer the natural or printed leather but would want to match with the bag I think.... or does it nor matter too much as long as I get both bag and purse in chocolate?

Apologies for frivolous post, but is big purchase and want to get it right!

Postman's lock would be INCREDIBLY annoying on a purse imo
Happy Christmas

Don't think it matters if they match or not! - I agree with Olympics that a Postmans lock on a purse -- at the supermarket checkout - laden up - in a hurry - would be quite fiddly! - - and at that price it needs to be all singing and all dancing!

NewChoos · 01/01/2012 20:36

hmmm hadn't considered that - but good point!

I prefer the printed leather one but then I have a printed leather Prada one and I love it. Smile

Hassled · 01/01/2012 20:38

For that money, sod the practicality and go for what looks the nicest. And the long locked one looks much much nicer. You'd get used to the lock.

PuraVida · 01/01/2012 21:12

I've got one with a lock. Don't find it a pain at all

CHOOGIRL · 01/01/2012 21:22

Newchoos are you my twin? I'm going to get the postman's lock purse but was out of stock when I was at Heathrow a couple of weeks ago. Am also contemplating this one

NewChoos · 01/01/2012 21:25

Choo I absolutely promise I am not stalking you, we just seem to coincidently have a similar name, coat and purse longings!
Lovely purse, have you seen the postmans lock in chocolate?

I have the postman's lock purse you've linked to, but in tan leather.
Have to disagree with OliviaMumsnet I'm afraid. Its quite a small one, so doesnt stick out like you think it would. Not annoying in the slightest! And much better than poppers which come undone if you're like me and keep every receipt going for 6 months...
I left it on the side in a restaurant last week and I've never felt my heart jump so much when I realised what I'd done!!

Can you guess I love it??

CHOOGIRL · 01/01/2012 21:30

I have newchoos, think I spied one in HoF and it looked v nice.

NewChoos · 01/01/2012 21:32

Oh I don't think I can decide in time! 1000 flight............
box glad you din't lose your purse!

Dh recently got me the Somerset zip purse in chocolate for my birthday, I really like it.

I have a Mullberry handbag in chocolate but I don't even know what style/name it is. It is similar but not identical to my purse and I don't think it matters if they aren't the same.

boxoftricks · 01/01/2012 22:02

I don't think I've ever run back so fast!! I took my heels off and everything!!

MrsSeanBean · 01/01/2012 23:05

Olivia Mumsnet Olympics etc is wrong - postman's lock is no trouble at all.
