Is L'Oreal Youth Code just Lancome Genefique by another name...?

What with Lancome owning L'oreal (or maybe it's the other way around).

They seem very similar to me (maybe the Youth Code is a bit watered down or something). Does anyone else have any opinions on this?

I used to work for Lancome (owned by L'Oreal).

The group invests fortunes on R&D. The luxury brands e.g. Lancome have the latest formulations/newest wonder-ingredients for their products, then after a year or two of those being in the market, a "high street" version e.g. L'Oreal Paris or Garnier will launch. It won't be the same, but may have the same active ingredients - albeit in lower concentrations.
