charm bracelets, which one?

i would like a lovely charm bracelet for myself , i am buying it with small inheritance left from df , am hoping that dh and dcs can add to it over the years, or should i steer away from charm bracelet? if so what should i buy?

If you go for it, I'd buy a lovely gold bracelet that you can have charms added to and pick up gold charms along the way. I wouldn't go with the pandora, links etc... type as I think they are a bit naff. If you do it yourself it will be a lovely heirloom and very individual.

I agree - the pandora and link stuff are a bit tacky, and look as though they were designed for teenagers.
