He always notices what Im wearing, thats bad enough but, do I have to put a full face on? I really cant be arsed to do more than wash my face!! Im going out tomorrow night for a change so Im getting blowdried today. Do you make an effort when going to the hairdressers?

No I don't but I can imagine the washing and / or blowdrying would ruin your make up slightly so if I wanted to look nice that night I would do my make up after my trip to the hairdresser

mumblechum1 · 30/12/2011 14:48

I do put my usual makeup on (lippy, eyeliner, mascara and blusher). It's just so I don't look quite so crap in the harsh lighting, though, so for my benefit not anyone else's.

ameliagrey · 30/12/2011 15:24

same as always- the whole damned lot- foundation, blusher, mascara, eye shadow, lippie and Chanel.

I somehow think that if you turn up looking groomed and not like a bag lady, they will take a bit more care - as they know you care!

MrsCampbellBlack · 30/12/2011 15:26

Same as Amelia.

All that staring in the mirror means I like to be made up. But then I always wear make up.

valiumredhead · 30/12/2011 15:27

Full face of slap on like any other day Grin

lubeybaublely · 30/12/2011 15:29

Full face

I hate looking at myself looking rough for an hour while they faff with my hair, eurgh never again.

Tortington · 30/12/2011 15:30

none

DilysPrice · 30/12/2011 15:30

I don't but then I have to sit staring at my face for half an hour under harsh lights so I regret it. Fortunately I take my glasses off, which lessens the horror a little.

katkitya · 30/12/2011 15:55

I have foundation and red lippy on. I've got to get my eyebrows and eyelashes done first. I can hear him tutting already.....

My usual daytime - tinted moisturiser, blush, mascara and lip gloss. As I have to sit looking at myself for 2.5 hours it is a necessity!!!

humblehippo · 30/12/2011 20:33

"Normal" makeup, same as if I was going anywhere else during the day!

katkitya · 31/12/2011 00:19

Well, I think I will have to get dolled up to the nines in future. My hairdresser has gone all hip since he won an award Sad it was all guestlist this and celebrity that Sad I hate it when they get really into the London hairdresser role.

none, but only wear makeup when going somewhere nice. Hairdresser is more funcational that nice.

MustControlMincepieOfDeath · 31/12/2011 00:34

Full face darling. No need to scare the horses.

2blessed2bstressed · 31/12/2011 00:44

I wear "normal" make-up, same as every other day. Partly because I don't want to look at myself in the mirror all pale skin and dark-circles, and partly because I think it helps when I'm thinking of a new colour or a wee style update that my hairdresser has an idea of how I usually look.
Having said that, she's one of my good friends so she already knows....so maybe it's just that I don't really go anywhere without make up on Smile

southeastastra · 31/12/2011 00:46

nothing much, want hairdresser to give me a nice cut so i don't have to wear make up at all Grin

LoveInASnowyClimate · 31/12/2011 00:47

Full, as I spend an hour there staring into a mirror and prefer not to see a ghost staring back!

partytights · 31/12/2011 00:56

Full face. Foundation, lipstick, eyeliner and mascara (kippy doubles as blush so I don't look dead).

startail · 31/12/2011 01:00

None, but I don't wear make up except when going out for a meal or sugar any way.

southeastastra · 31/12/2011 01:05

sugar? Grin

Cbeebieslover · 01/02/2020 00:52

@partytights @startail sugar? Kippy?
