I've just got this in the sale/discount for £35 but am unsure. Would wear with a dark grey stretchy T underneath, thick tights and flat boots- but wonder if it's a bit "little girly"? I am 50s but look much younger ( so I am told!) and a size 8 in this dress.

I think it's the flared skirt that is making me unsure......

It's ok, very wearable. I don't absolutely love it, but I would wear it. I don't think it looks "too young".

shellye · 30/12/2011 11:27

I have this dress too. I am nearly 43 and 5 foot tall and a size 10. It looks great with a cerise long sleeved top underneath with wooly dark grey or black tights. Have had lots of compliments when worn. Have worn it lots! Go for it! Don't think it looks girly. Looks smart!

ameliagrey · 30/12/2011 11:59

Thanks ladies. I'm 5' 3 so it comes a few inches above the knee. it's a good price @ £35- no more than a jumper- and I would wear it at home too as I work from home, but have some clients visit.

It looks more like the photo on the website than the main pic, if that helps- but not so short on me as on the model.

I like it. Think it's okay for all ages. I'd wear it (32) but I wouldn't be surprised to see older or younger people wearing it too.

ameliagrey · 30/12/2011 12:03

Looks like I might be keeping it then! Hasten to add I am not your "typical 50 yr old"- as most people think I am mid 40s- not boasting, just saying Smile

Oh that's a shame.

I like the link to that dress- was looking at it this morning as a possibility instead of the WS one!

OP posts:
VivaLeBeaver · 30/12/2011 12:52

Yeah I thought it was a similar style/cut. Blue is more my colour as well!

ameliagrey · 30/12/2011 12:58

I'm going to look out for it when I am next in JL- possibly this weekend.

I didn't order as not sure of the fit- I am short and between an 8-10.

Hope you like it!

VivaLeBeaver · 30/12/2011 13:07

I'm not sure of fit but I can always send it back. It's showing low stock in most sizes online so was getting worried it might sell out. It's a shame no ones reviewed it yet, that's what I like about White stuff. There are always reviews saying if something is true to size or not.
