Looking for a small, neat, strong cross body bag...any ideas?

My Fossil one is starting to wear out, sadly.

I would like to find something small, compact, with a nice adjustable strap and made from something like canvas or cord, you know, that chunky, hardwearing style.

If anyone's got any ideas where to look or has seen anything nice, I'd be grateful Smile

Maybe a bit staid for your taste but Radleys do small cross body bags and they're on sale atm.

Thanks, that's a good idea, I'll have a look Smile

Cath Kidston messenger bag or the cotton Saddle bag

both fantastic and both have lasted me brutally abusing them :o

Link doesn't work, but if you go on the site and look under SelecTED there is a Ted Baker Brady Collaboration, it's on there.

Ooh thanks, more ideas...will look at the Cath Kidston ones, I think the ted Baker one is going to be way beyond budget sadly...! But thankyou.

I returned one of the Ted Baker & Brady bags as the quality was absolute shite! shame because they're lovely

The CK ones have really put up with a battering! Including a 2yo who puts her feet on it when I'm carrying her on my hip Hmm

HerRoyalNotness · 29/12/2011 22:20

that's a shame milk but on the bright side you've just saved me 135quid!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 29/12/2011 22:21

:o glad to be of service :o

I do love it so though :(

humblehippo · 30/12/2011 00:17

I had a Ted Baker bag where the straps broke after couple of months of normal, not really heavy, use (one of those patent shoppers)... so I would be wary of them now Xmas Angry Shame, as they have some nice ones.

I am also looking for this kind of cross body bag or satchel, but a slightly larger one. They have some in the Accessorize sale which look okay on the website.

Luminescence · 30/12/2011 00:21

What's the budget?

MilkNoSugarPlease · 30/12/2011 00:29

I'm going to recommend the Cath kidston messenger bags and saddle bags until I'm blue in the face :o

Budget is at a push around £60 I suppose but would far prefer it to be around 40 if poss..

saw some beautiful radley ones and another fossil one (I always love theirs) but it's too big, also they are all too ££ (70ish) so cannae justify it till the old fossil falls apart completely. I think the zip is on the way out. But I love it so much.
