is it as good as its reputation and, if I want to try the foundation range, what exactly should I buy. Is the "starter" kit good? One more question, probably a stupid one but is it different to bare escentuals - getting hopelessly confused!!

Yes is absolutely is as good and yeah I started with the starter kit it has everything you need to start out . I don't think it has the primer in it though so you will need to buy it separately .

And no they are the same thing bare escentuals is the company - bare minerals is their make up range iyswim ?

Yes, go to your local orange lady and get her to try the products on you. Get the starter kit where you will get 2 shades of foundation, warmth, mineral veil, bisque and brushes for £48. You can then add to it when you are happy with what you have.

QVC is good for supplies plus you can return what you don't like.

Can. I ask what the mineral veil is meant to do. I've got the starter kit and the mineral veil makes no difference that I can see.

The starter kit is good to see if you like the stuff. I use bare minerals for special as well as boots and body shop minerals for day to day.

The only thing with the sarter kit is you get a fair one and a dark one.... The dark one is way to dark for my pale skin!

The concealer is excellent and the mineral veil I find is lovely to give a finished look. I suffer from bad skin and bare minerals really helps keep it calm!

the mineral veil seems to just make it look more finished - it makes LOTS of difference to photos i find! :)

Starter kit is brilliant. I used all my mineral veil but I haven't bought any more. I also tend to use the foundation with the concealer brush, instead of buying separate concealer, but again I did use it when I had it.

And it's definitely as good as people say. It gives a lovely finish, and you can go from very light and natural to full evening cover.
