Fed up with sweat marks!

I'm really fed up with sweat marks on my shirts especially on my husband's ones as it seems to be impossible to get rid of those wiggly white and yellow lines. I've spent so much money on dry cleaning which unfortunately didn't work and it was so embarrassing even taking them to the charity shops.I've tried washing them on the highest temperature with a whitener but those yellowish marks will still be visible.I can't even mention how upsetting it is with a darker colours as it looks so unhygienic. Any recommendations much appreciated. Thanks!

Vinegar! The experts tell you white vinegar but I find cheapo Tesco value malt vinegar works just as well. Wet the stains, rub in the vinegar, leave for a bit then wash as usual

You took shirts with sweat stains to the charity shop?

snowmummy why not charity shops? Most charity shops round here take stuff that isn't saleable for ragging and get money for it.

indith because I wouldn't buy clothing with someone else's bodily stains on it and I wouldn't expect anyone else to either. There's enough decent stuff in charity shops to not have to.

I know, I was just saying charity shops get money for ragging so still acceptable to take stuff with sweat marks to a charity shop, thye won't sell it but they will still be able to get money for it.

Soda crystals in the wash and vinegar neat on the stain.

Zarasmith, I had a similar problem and managed to discover Nonchalante underarm pads. Are very easy to use and excellent value for money, you can even find then on Amazon.Try them and you are not going to regret it at all.

Busytulip, I think you recommended Nonchalante pads to me a few weeks ago and thank you, they're fantastic. I went through Amazon but now I saw their ad in my local R&B magazine and they offer 2 boxes for #8 including P&P so it's better value than on Amazon.

Spikemomma, It's Richmond magazine so if you are ordering it from their site ( www.nonchalante.co.uk ) just mention that. It looks bit confusing as you have to transfer money to their account but I did it and received the pads next day.

That's fantastic! So now we can order through the website, great. I have to order some for my daughter's friends as they have borrowed them before a party (to try them on and to save new dresses). Found them very usefull and asked for more to keep in the handbag, nice idea.... thanks.

Just went on the website but couldn't actually order them, bar give details and a message. Was that the same for you unna?
