What would you spend a £50 Space NK voucher on wise ladies?

Title says it all really - my bosses have given me the voucher for Christmas....I rarely venture into Space NK, and if I do it is usually to buy pressies for someone else!

So wise beauty ladies, what would you recommend I purchase in there? I am probably mostly in need of some new foundation or possibly some nice skincare bits and am 39 with combination skin with quite rosy cheeks!

I know that I will probably have to put some money on top of the £50 and happy to do that if it means I can buy something I would ordinarily back away from due to the price tag! Thanks in advance!

I'd go in for a consultation - last time I was in I was eyeing up their Nars and Laura Mercier foundations / tinted moisturisers but didn't have the time or money to find out what would suit my skin. Enjoy spending it!

By Terry foundation, the Eclat Opulent stuff (you will have to pay money on top).

The Space NK women are very friendly and knowledgeable, get them to make your face up with foundation, if By Terry is too much they have Laura Mercier nd Chantecaille which are both excellent.

They also have excellent skin care ranges (Caudalie is a good one, plus I love Kiehls).

It is a lovely shop.

Nars products are great, I love the 'Multiple' stick which I use for blusher, but if you are rosy or cheek there are other options. The Pigalle lipstick is lovely too.

I find it difficult to get past the nice candles.
Space NK scares me. I have no idea why, but the candles are always nice.

eve lom cleanser, no contest!

HarrogateMum · 28/12/2011 18:24

hmmm all good ideas, I think you are right, I will have to go in and speak to the nice sales ladies! Thanks for all contributions so far!

Theres a sale on at the moment-I paid £67 for Eve Lom and Kiehl products yesterday which would have cost £190. They also do fantastic perfumes-Serge Lutens and Tom Ford

fluffylegs · 28/12/2011 19:23

You need an Ellis Faas foundation / concealer ( I use the concealer on red bits and not much else make up wise) and a Chantecaille lipchic. Incredible lipstick that plumps and is just lovely. Please come back and update!

Eve Lom cleanser! The SA's in 4pace NK are lovely. I prefer buying from there than in department stores etc.they often pop a sample sachet or two when you make a. Expensive-ish purchase and you wrap them up nicely Also another vote for Nars and Kiehls.

Get0rf · 28/12/2011 20:28

Yes, I forgot about the handfuls of free samples they give you.

Agree that the sales assistants are far better than the Debenhams/Hoise of Fraser equivalent. Genuinely very friendly and knowledgable.

Figgyrollsintoapudding · 28/12/2011 21:16

Also do it in the sales! Eve Lom in the sales is bloody fab! Anything from Space NK and make sure you sing up to the Indulge card too.

corygal · 28/12/2011 21:21

The own-brand scent is often fantaaaabulous and goes for 75 per cent off, so you could afford some fine foundation too. Get the staff to tell you what to buy, they know their onions.

TheHoHoHouseofMirth · 28/12/2011 21:22

Laura Mercier tinted moisuriser is fab but they'll be able to advise you on at's best for you.

TheHoHoHouseofMirth · 28/12/2011 21:22

what's, even.

SixtyFootDoll · 28/12/2011 21:23

Diptyque perfume

Figgyrollsintoapudding · 28/12/2011 21:23

I bought some fabby perfume last year in the sale was £90 which I would never have paid for any perfume (even JM!) I got it for £12, gutted as they don't have it any more but so yummy!

HarrogateMum · 03/01/2012 11:42

Got a ByTerry plumping foundation and new foundation brush (did I need one?). Had to put some cash towards but looked much better than my normal everyday c**p!
