Knickers or no knickers when wearing longjohns?

I wear knickers as I want to get a couple of days wear out of them.

But I have no frame of refererence as it's not something I grew up wearing.

So what is the rule?

ameliagrey · 27/12/2011 22:54

oh God yes- knickers for me. long johns IMO are like leggings or tights- and I wear knickers under both!

Luminescence · 27/12/2011 23:43

mirpuppet · 28/12/2011 00:57

Knickers.

Knickers! They are not underwear in the sense that they replace knickers...they are for wearing under your other clothes.
I speak as a lifelong adult wearer - worked and lived outside for 25 years.

chipmunksex · 28/12/2011 15:20

Lived outside truly? Do tell!

trulyscrumptious43 · 30/12/2011 23:04

I'm a traveller and lived horsedrawn for six years.

trulyscrumptious43 · 30/12/2011 23:14

The rest of the time I lived in vehicles, trucks and caravans. We are very close to the earth and spend a lot of time outside.

talkingnonsense · 31/12/2011 08:37

Wow that sounds amazing. Do you travel still? I don't think I'd like it when it's grey and rainy like the last few days have been, but I bet it's amazing to be so aware of changing seasons- getting a dog and being outside more has been fascinating enough. Thank you for answering!

trulyscrumptious43 · 02/01/2012 21:33

Yes I still travel, although not all year any longer. My DS is in school.
I miss it though and think I might go back when he has finished school - he's quite keen too!
