By day 4 the hairs will be longer and even more painful to yank out... try having a hot bath first then doing them, but only leave it a day or so after shaving them so the hairs are just epilatable!

The pain does get a LOT better with use..honest! I can now do mine without wincing having bought one in the summer (replaced my original silkepil ..THE original, which truly was a form of torture from the 1980s!) I find once I have done the whole leg a couple of times the hairs grow at different rates and so not so much is being yanked out.

I also find wine helps Grin

It doesn't, get yourself an electric shaver and relax.

I mean does it really matter how super smooth your legs are all the time? Are ya out on the pull tonight?

Also I am somewhat Confused that you say you are doing it every night! I thought the whole point of the epilator thingies was that you only had to do them once a month or something?

Epilating doesn't hurt unless hairs are long.

chipmunksex · 27/12/2011 21:06

To be fair; one person's 'hurt' is another's 'uncomfortable'.

I am just very hard Grin
DD feels no pain either. However dh did when I tried to do his back.

Mines has an ice pack on it which numbs the skin as you go. I find tbh that I reach a state of pain euphoria after a few minutes and it stops hurting.

There is no reason why you can't take a painkiller before you start as well.
