Wellies for larger calves

My mum is struggling to find wellies that will fit her calves. She doesn't have enormous calves - you wouldn't think it to look at her legs - but she just can't find wellies to fit.

Any ideas of anywhere that caters for this?

Aigle wellies I have these although they have gone up in price! I have chunky calves and can wear these with jeans tucked in and thick socks over the top. (With the adjuster loose) Cost me about £65 three years ago and they are still going strong, bought them from my local farm shop so could be cheaper there.

Hunter's women's-specific Huntress model are more generous in the calf. I also have calves that everyone says aren't fat, but apparently are!

Kanyon wellington boots are good quality and come in various calf fitting sizes. Hunter also do short wellington boots, which come up to only the bottom of the calf, nice and easy for tucking in trousers actually.

Amazon is worth a shot.

I have neoprene-lined riding wellies and I can't tuck in my trousers, so if I'm out for a walk and wearing jeans or trousers, I wear my walking boots and a pair of gaiters. I love gaiters.

Countrywide stores do cheap, wide calf wellies.

I have the same problem and cannot get into my wide calf Hunters anymore so bought these in a deep purply colour the last time which are probably what MrsJ is referring to. Get lots of compliments!
