Do I buy a gorgeous dress in the coast sale that is too big and I don't strictly ?

I've fallen in love with a dress that I saw someone wear at a party. I last loved a dress as much as this back in the 70s when I was about 9. It's from coast and a classic style so won't date - but I've had my Xmas posh do so don't need another dress right now. Also it's a size too big so will have to have it altered. But I'm in love what should I do?

I like the "search for it on eBay in a couple of months"..... thing is I also need to know that it's all mine and waiting for me in my wardrobe

Buy it and and have it altered.

if you love it THAT much and it's a classic then it deserves to be a perfect fit. that's a rare thing off teh peg. A buying a size bigger and having it altered is the best option TBH.

Also, I bought a classic dress in the Coast sale, and two wears later I realised it was mumsy as hell so gave it to Help The Aged.

Ok I'm feeling too glutonous to go ahead and buy it so tell me your opinions first. Sorry I'm on iPhone so can't link- it's the Tamina dress from Coast and is £99. Looks stunning on - what shall I do?!

Every size bar size 6 is available on the website.

It's a lovely dress, but the extent of the detail on the top will make all but the waist and length hard to alter I think.

it is lovely....ive seen one that i really like aswell but i just cant afford it. i like the ~Abigail dress, also £95

how often do coast have a sale? forewarned is forearmed, i could get saving now. There are some beautiful dresses.
